Maven Optics aren’t cheap but there’s a way to test them before you buy them. Optics are a big investment but a necessary investment for avid hunters. Whether you’re elk in the high country, spot and stalking antelope in the open country, or chasing whitetails in the east, quality optics are a necessity. However, it’s tough to commit to high-priced optics without first testing them. Unfortunately, Maven is a direct-to-consumer optics company that you won’t find at your local sporting goods store. Thankfully, Maven has created a unique program that will help interested customers test Maven Optics products for two weeks before making the purchase. Be sure to check out our review of the Maven C.1 10×42 ED Binoculars.
Simply put, try before you buy! Maven is a Direct to Consumer company that allows them to bring you high-quality products for less than their competitor. This model might prevent their products from being regularly available at your local sporting goods store but it doesn’t prevent you from testing them before you buy them. You’ll have two weeks to put an optic of your choosing to the test and then decide whether they’re the right fit for you. At that point, you can keep the demo, return it to purchase a new or custom model, or return it and receive full credit (minus shipping).
How big of a discount can you expect on Demo models? The discounts aren’t great, but the key is to use this as a trial run to see if you want to buy them in the first place. Currently, the 10x power Maven C3 Binos are available in the Demo Program for $451 but you can buy them NEW for only $475. The Maven S.1A Spotting Scope is only $110 cheaper in the demo area versus the new price. But again, this isn’t promoted as a deal, it’s basically a two-week trial and if you return them like you’re supposed to, they’ll refund your money.
Can you “Demo” Maven Optics to use on a hunt instead of buying them? Well, there’s nothing that says you can’t but don’t be disappointed if you’re not the only one that thinks of this as an option come hunting season. Availabilities aren’t guaranteed, so use this option with caution.
Are the Demo models free for two weeks? Not quite. Your card will still be charged at the time you place your order but you can qualify for a refund if you ship them back within two weeks or if you love them, you can keep them!
