Science has shown us that many animals including deer and birds are more sensitive to UV light than humans. Clothing manufacturers, including those that make camo often time us UV brighteners to help colors look brighter and look attractive on store shelves. Unfortunately, many believe those same brighteners stick out like a sore thumb to game animals. Those same brighteners are also added to many laundry detergents for the same reasons that the manufacturers use them. Once they are on your camo, the only solution is using a UV killer to counteract the brighteners. This isn’t a hunting scam. You can use a blacklight to test it for yourself. Amazon usually has a good deal on Atsko Sno-Seal UV Killer Spray. It retails for $16.46, but anything under $10.00 a bottle is a great deal.
