Thermacell Backpacker MR-BP Mosquito Repeller- Amazon Deal

Thermacell has released a Gen 2.0 version of the Backpacker MR-BP Mosquito Repeller. As a result, the price of the Gen 1.0 model has dropped drastically. You can read the reviews to see the need for improvement. In my opinion, at these prices, it’s worth trying out the Gen 1.0 model. If you aren’t satisfied, you can return it to Amazon.

Spring may be over and the bugs aren’t as big of an issue throughout most of the country but you can stock up now at a discounted price and be ready to go for next year.  Thermacell has added a new device to their line of mosquito repellent appliances and I think it could be  a game-changer. The Thermacell Backpacker model runs on a camping fuel canister for up to 90 hours. This might not work for a treestand, but it’s perfect for hunting out of a blind or on the ground. It would be easy to leave the appliance in your permanent hunting blind. Of course, this will work for backcountry hunters as well. It runs on the butane or propane you already have for your stove. It’s a luxury item that could make your backcountry trip much more enjoyable. Amazon has the best price on the Backpacker appliance. It retails for $39.99, but I’ve seen it as low as $27.95 from “other sellers”. You can buy your refills there as well.
