I am relatively new to hunting and I live and hunt in Northeast Florida. In accumulating hunting gear, my number one goal has been value. With a growing young family and a limited budget, my goal is to obtain the highest quality, most durable, and most versatile hunting gear available. HuntingGearDeals.com has been a huge asset in helping me stretch my hunting budget also. I’ve been lucky enough to take advantage of some great deals thanks to their Daily Deal Email. Recently, I picked up the Allen Anywhere Trail Camer Holder to help me capture trail camera photos virtually anywhere, and here are my thoughts on it.

Problems with Trail Camera Setup
While trail cameras are a valuable investment when hunting whitetails, turkeys, or any other animals, there are some limitations. One of the biggest issues that I’ve found is that you can’t always place one where you want to. For example, if tree cover or fence posts are lacking in an area you want to keep an eye on, you can’t just suspend a trail camera from the air, it must be firmly attached to something or you have to move on and find another spot.
Even when you can find a tree or fence post near your area of interest, the angle of the trail camera may need some tweaking. We’ve all done it, we’ve hung a camera in the almost perfect location, only to prop twigs and rocks between the trail camera and the tree to get the right angle. This way of hanging trail cameras might get the job done, but it’s not very effective and nor should be a long-term solution.
Allen Anywhere Trail Cam Holder Review
I have used the Allen Anywhere Trail Cam Holder to scout deer and turkeys on a small family property in North Florida. One of the unique uses that I didn’t anticipate needed this trail camera holder was when my trail camera strap broke recently. I didn’t have a spare strap but thankfully, this trail camera holder came to the rescue I was able to set up my trail camera without the strap. This alone saved me enough gas money to justify purchasing this product as I would have had to leave the area and return at a later date after replacing the strap.
The versatility of the Allen Anywhere Trail Cam Holder allows me to mount virtually any trail camera to it as long as it has a 1/4″ x 20 threaded insert on the bottom. Simply screw the trail camera onto the top of the 1/4″ insert on Allen Anywhere Trail Cam Holder, just be careful not to overtighten it as you can damage some trail cameras by sinking the insert/mounting bolt in to deep.
Once secured, you can adjust the angle of the trail camera, which will ensure you get the best possible angle for quality photos. The Allen Anywhere Trail Cam Holder is reusable and you can carry a bunch of them with you as you’re setting trail cams.
I prefer to use the Allen Anywhere Trail Cam Holder in areas that do not have trees or fence posts. Oftentimes, I find great sign in brushy areas that do not offer sturdy trail camera mounting locations, and the Allen Anywhere Trail Cam Holder is a lifesaver. Open field edges are also a great place to use it as well. I can imagine hunting drainages in the midwest between crop fields or CRP and not having the perfect trail camera set-up and this product would be a life saver!

Allen Anywhere Trail Cam Holder Summary
I believe the Allen Anywhere Trail Cam Holder is an excellent tool that makes it easier to get better trail camera photos of game animals, even when the terrain or cover isn’t perfect. To me, that is valuable. The trail camera holder is simple to install, adjustable, and portable at only 1 pound. You can install the Allen Anywhere Trail Cam Holder anywhere but be mindful of thieves. As great as trail cameras are, you don’t want to come back to your new hunting spot only to find your trail camera missing, so if theft is a possibility, you might not want to leave your trail camera vulnerable. Personally, I will be using this camera holder for many seasons to come and fully expect it to be the difference in patterning deer in areas where most trail cameras wouldn’t be found.
