A Wedding Band Built for a Diehard Hunter
Before I had ever talked to Stephen, the owner of Rogue Antler Arts, I was a fan of his work. It’s not easy to take a deer antler and make it classy, but he does. Stephen turns deer antlers into works of art by combining deer antlers with fine metals, such as gold and silver. Rogue Antler Arts also creates rings made of Tungston and Carbon Fiber as well.
For my wedding band, I chose the Pro-Staff Elite Carbon Fiber Edition, and here’s why. First, carbon fiber is lightweight. I’m not a fan of large, heavy rings made of metals such as tungsten. The carbon fiber feels nearly weightless on my finger and it looks great. You might choose carbon fiber over traditional metal bands if you’re a diehard mobile hunter that spends all of his money on the lightest high-quality hunting gear on the market, but that’s not me. I respect the value of a dollar but I’ve never been afraid of spending extra on a product if I saw the long-term value. Carbon fiber is simply a personal preference due to the fact that it is lightweight and warmer to the touch in cold environments. Before you call Stephen and tell him you need a custom wedding band created in 3 days, you need to realize that this isn’t likely to happen. You’ll need to plan weeks or months in advance if you want your wedding band to arrive on time. Quality work takes time and Stephen is a busy man. In fact, typical turnaround times could be 12 weeks or more. You can put a rush delivery on your order, but keep in mind that you’re not buying a cheap band from China that’s massed produced. You won’t realize how beautifully unique these rings truly are until you have one of your own.
