Finding a high-quality ground blind chair that won’t break the bank has been a struggle. I’m not going to say that I’m cheap but I prefer value for my money and spending more money on a chair than the ground blind seems unreasonable most of the time. That is until you’re in the ground blind sitting in your cheap seat and it breaks!
Yep, I’ve been there and I won’t soon forget it. You can imagine how uncomfortable a tripod chair is with broken legs and you can’t distribute your weight evenly across it without the fear of it collapsing. When it comes to ground blinds, there are several different types but they start with the legs. There are 3-legged chairs and 4-legged chairs. When my ground blind is actually on the ground, I prefer a 3-legged chair. When I’m in an elevated ground blind that has a flat base, I prefer a 4-legged chair.
This doesn’t mean you can use one for both applications. At the end of the day, you can make anything work, it’s just personal preference.

Assembly of the Tidewe 4-Legged Ground Blind Chair
Assembly is really simple and can be done in just a couple of minutes. No tools are required. The ground blind chair will arrive in two parts, the seat, and the legs. Each is connected with four bolts with oversized plastic heads and the base is threaded so there’s no need for tools. These bolts are more like screw-in knobs than ordinary bolts.
I found it quicker and easier to flip the chair seat down and place the base on top of it to install the four screw-in knobs instead of placing the seat right-side up and installing them from the bottom. This can be done in the field or at home, it really is that simple. Once the four baseplate screw-in knobs s are installed, you’re ready to go.
Adjustability of the Tidewe 4-Legged Ground Blind Chair
Each leg can be adjusted in height, which is great for uneven surfaces. Each leg base adjusts to fit flatly on the ground automatically, without any assistance. Adjusting the seat height is accomplished by removing the round knob underneath the seat and installing it at the desired height.
The seat height is adjustable from 17.5 inches to 22.2 inches. The seat is 19.7″ wide, so if you’re larger than average, you might want to go with the 3-legged model that doesn’t have armrests.
Unfortunately, the back rest is not adjustable. This may be the biggest downfall of the chair as I would prefer to be able to lean back a little bit more in the seat while hunting. It’s not a deal breaker and but it would be a nice feature to have.

Features: Tidewe 4 Legged Ground Blind Chair
The Tidewe four-legged hunting chair is loaded with features to ensure comfort and silence during the hunt. Let’s start from the ground and work our way up the chair. The base of each leg has a ball and socket design that allows the oversized baseplate for each leg to adjust to the proper angle. This ensures the legs are securely touching the ground.
Next, is the adjustability of each leg. Legs can be shortened and lengthened with ease, the wider the legs, the more stable they become. The seat height is also adjustable, as low as 17.5″ and as high as 22.2″.
The seat is made from a mesh material that’s quiet and comfortable. I’m not sure if this is a rip-stop mesh material but it certainly looks like it. You’ll really like the removable quilted seat for cold weather hunts. The armrests are wrapped to ensure they stay quiet too. The shoulder strap is a must-have and thankfully this one is a good one. The seat weighs 22.45 pounds and carrying it would be a pain without the included shoulder strap.

Tidewe 4-Legged Ground Blind Chair Review Summary
The Tidewe 4-Legged Ground Blind Chair is comfortable and makes all-day sits enjoyable. Once you reduce the noise that it makes in cold weather by installing plastic washers and a little bit of lubricant, this chair is a homerun.
This ground blind chair is a big improvement over cheaper models that I’ve owned in the past and it pairs nicely with the 3 legged version that doesn’t have arm rests.
Moving around in the chair is where it really sets itself apart from other chairs in the past. The noise is a factor, but it’s manageable. However, I really like how sturdy the chair is. The oversized feet on each leg keep it from sinking into the soft dirt and provides greater stability, reducing the likelihood of tipping over.
Would I buy another Tidewe 4-Legged Ground Blind Chair? Yes, but it’s going to need some additional work to reduce the noise.
