2022 ATA Show – New Products

The 2022 ATA Show is from January 7 – 9 and we can expect some great new archery-related products to be introduced this weekend.  I’m going to try my best to be your go-to resource for newly released hunting-related products.  This is a daunting task on trying to keep up with all of the companies throughout the industry, so feel free to help out if you see something I’ve missed!  This year it seems that many major archery manufacturers will not be in attendance:  Hoyt, Mathews, Easton

Make sure to sign up for the Hunting Gear Deals email list to get a list of the best deals, straight to your inbox, every day. Sign up here.

-If you see a new product that I’ve missed, be sure to send me a message on social media, so I can learn more about it.

Hottest New Products from 2022 ATA Show

New 2022 Archery Sights

  • Trophy Ridge Digital React Trio Pro – $379.99
    • The Trophy Ridge Digital React Trio Pro features two horizontal fixed .019 pins and a vertical React .010 pin. The Digital React line-up utilizes Trophy Ridge’s patented React Technology which mathematically adjusts your pins and yardage indicators to be spot on at any distance.
  • Trophy Ridge Digital React One Pin – $359.99
    • The Digital React One Pin features a vertical React floating pin available in either .010 or .019 diameter. The Trophy Ridge Digital React One Pin utilizes Trophy Ridge’s patented React Technology which mathematically adjusts your pins and yardage indicators to be spot on at any distance.
  • Garmin Xero A1i Pro
    • An advanced version of the original Garmin Xero that makes it hard to ignore.  Removable dovetail mount (great addition to help you protect your investment when traveling). I had the chance to test this product at the show and I was impressed.  Instant feedback, consistent scan mode when ranging a target.  It takes a little bit of tuning and work to calibrate it, but it’ll be hard to find an excuse as to why you missed that big buck if you’re using one of these!
  • Black Gold Dual Trac – $389
    • A dual-pin slider is similar to the Spot Hogg double pin.  This single pin design with two fibers on the same vertical pin.  The Dual Indicator System makes hunting with a “single pin design easier and more efficient.

New 2022 Broadheads

  • Swhacker LRP Arrow
    • A custom-built, micro-diameter Goldtip Kinetic Piere Platinum equipped with Tac Vanes and a newly designed insert system that works in combination with Swhacker Broadheads.  Made in the USA.  Spine-aligned arrows for maximum accuracy at long distances.  Tunable blade orientation
  • WASP Archery
    • SharpShooter series.   Single bevel design, including the bleeder blades.  It’s a 200-grain broadhead built for greater penetration on the toughest of big-game animals.  It looks like WASP is listening to their consumers.
  • REK Broadheads
    • New 150 grain stainless steel 4-Blade that looks like an ideal broadhead for those interested in increasing their FOC.
  • VIP Archery Ranger
    • 2 Blade – 2.4 inches open cutting diameter, 1.2 inches closed cutting diameter.  Available in 100 and 125 grain.
  • VIP Archery Commander
    • 3 Blade – 2.4 inches open cutting diameter, 1.2 inches closed cutting diameter.  Available in 100, 125 and 150 grain.
  • Thorn XV
    • 2 Blade mechanical rated up to 750 FPS that is the cheapest broadhead in their line-up.  It has a very simple design that incorporates a rubber pin to hold the blades in place.  Thorn makes an accurate broadhead and I expect nothing less here.

New Arrows – 2022

There are several new options for arrow builders.  Whether you’re a bow shop owner or you enjoy crafting the most accurate arrows possible, Last Chance Archery and Bohning each have some new products for you.

  • Last Chance Archery Revolution Arrow Tuner
  • Last Chance Archery WMP Fletching Station
  • Easton Archery – SuperDrive micro arrow

New Treestands, Saddles, Platforms, Climbing Sticks, and Blinds

  • Tethrd Carbon Fiber Saddle Platform
    • Lighter, quieter, and the only one on the market.  Large platform with the weight of a small platform.  Not ready for production yet.
  • Tethrd Skeletors
    • Aluminum Climbing Sticks.  Sold in a 4 pack.  Great price point.  Solid!  Lock together tight.  Quiet and easy to stack/unstack.
  • Tethrd One Sticks (New version coming soon)
    • Tethrd is upgrading the popular Tethrd One Sticks this year.  Materials have been hard to acquire and they’re upgrading a few components.  The original version is ridiculously lightweight and easy to use.
  • Timber Ninja – The first every Carbon Fiber Treestand
    • Yes, an entire treestand made from carbon fiber!  This stand isn’t available to the public yet but we can expect a price point of around $1,200.  It’s larger than most of the extremely lightweight treestands on the market and carbon fiber is inhertently quieter and warmer.
  • Elevate Treestand
    • Water jet cut stand to rival the popular Beast Gear stand at a cheaper price point.  Still expensive, but it’s nice to have another option.  (It’ll be interesting to see if this product sticks around do to patents held by other companies.)
  • Lone Wolf Custom Gear .75 Treestand
    • A solid compromise between the smaller .5 and larger 1.0 LWCG stands.  Prices are still higher than most but it’s hard to beat this combination of sticks and stands in the mobile hunting style of hunting.  Dimensions:  6.5 lbs, 27” x 17.5” platform, 20” seat height.  Also, all LWCG stands can be upgraded to a mesh seat now!!!
  • Lone Wolf Custom Gear 14″ Double Climbing Sticks (Mini Double sticks)
    • A tweak on an already great product.  If you’re running one of the LWCG saddle platforms, these climbing sticks are a must as they fit into the saddle platform and pack up tight. They also have a built-in cable aider.  These pair great with their new smaller platform.
  • Latitude Outdoors – Saddle Platform
    • This uniquely designed saddle platform reduces weight and allows for an optimal range of motion due to the wing design.  You can get closer to the tree and utilize more surface area of the platform to pivot around the tree for the shot.
  • XOP Saddle Harness
    • This uniquely designed saddle looks funny, yet functional.

New Archery Accessories

  • Trophy Ridge Hitman 2.0 Stabilizer – $79.99
  • Trophy Ridge Convoy Quiver – $54.99
  • TightSpot Shift Lock Quiver – $219.99
    • It’s been a while since we’ve seen an update to the TightSpot quiver line-up and the Tight Spot Shift Lock is a great addition.  It’s designed to adjust for various arrow lengths and set-ups for different bows.  This may be the = one-size fits all design that we’ve been looking for.
  •  Octane Octagon Pro – $79
    • An upgraded “Whisker Biscuit” for bows with a built-in arrow rest mount like Mathews and Hoyt.
  • Stan Release – $279+
    • Stan finally has a new and improved line of releases that’s lives up to the Stan name!
  • Bushnell Broadhead Rangefinder – $299.99
    • The most advanced rangefinder for bowhunters.  Automatically adjustable reticles for different lighting conditions.  This is the most accurate rangefinder on the market out to 150 yards but it will pick up reflective objects out to 1500 yards.  Also, it works on solid black objects, which isn’t common with most rangefinders on the market.
  • SKB Series Ravin R500 Sniper Crossbow Case.
    • This case looks bomb-proof and is the perfect companion to those investing in the newest Ravin Crossbows.
  • Hamskea Epsilon Arrow Rest
    • Finally, Hamskea (born for target archers) has a drop-away rest that stays up when not at full draw.  The most accurate (opinion) arrow rest on the market just got better thanks to a much-needed feature for hunters.

Other Great Products for 2022

  • JAKT Tag – Social Media platform for hunters!
    • This is the most exciting product from the 2022 ATA Show.  JAKT is a social media platform that incorporates way more technology than I have room to write here.  It’s similar to popular social media apps that we already use, but without the unfair algorithms that bury hunting-related content.  Stay tuned for more information on this exciting shift in the way the hunting community communicates!  QR Codes and Near Field Communication (NFC) technology help you create your own digital trophy room.  They also have a unique inventory system for wild game meat to help you keep track of what’s in your freezer.
  • Fourth Arrow Stiff Arm Ghost Camera Arm – $??
    • Lighter than the carbon fiber arms already in production.  The total weight for the arm and base is around 8 pounds.
  • Bohning Pocket Quiver
    • One of those products that you see and think “Why didn’t I think of it?”  It may be the one product from this year’s ATA Show that EVERY archery has an excuse to buy.
  • Alpine Quiver
    • Alpine Soft Lock quivers are back and better than ever.  You can pick up the old-style softlock that was one of the best on the market for years or try out their newly designed version.  The attachment method is uniquely quiet this quiver comes in at a great price!
  • Insight “The Shift” Backpack” – $189.99
    • A unique backpack designed for the saddle hunter in mind.  The climbing sticks are centered inside in a channel in the backpack with the saddle secured on the outside of the pack.  This is a must-have backpack for saddle hunters!
  • Insight Crossbow Backpack (not the actual name)
    • A unique backpack designed for the crossbow hunter in mind.  This backpack secures your crossbow inside a channel within different sections of the pack to ensure that it’s safe and secure.  Just don’t put your crossbow in it fully cocked.
  • Burr Paw
    • This isn’t a new item for 2022 but I anticipate that it will finally get the recognition that it deserves.  Basically, this product removes burrs and stickers from your hunting clothes with ease, making you quieter and more comfortable during the hunt.
  • Muck Boots Apex Pac Alt Closure Boots
    • Muck boots are designed to be waterproof but they’ve never been friendly to the mobile hunter now.  These boots are around 6 inches in height and are an adjustable slip-on boot for maximum comfort.  Their moisture-wicking design allows your feet to breathe but keeps your feet dry (as long as you don’t step in something that’s higher than the boot of course.  They come in a variety of colors and look like a good option for someone that’s looking to stay dry but doesn’t need a tall boot.
