Nothing stopped and awed more at the 2024 ATA show then the new HyperLite series from Trophyline. Maker of arguably some of the best and most trusted saddle hunting gear on the planet, Trophyline Debuted a project long in the making with their new HyperLite series of climbing sticks and platform.
Beyond Ultralight
What really shocked retailers and press at the show was the fact that this new ultralight climbing stick was metal, and is stronger than aluminum. Usually when a stick pushes the boundary of ultralight, breaking close to the 1 lb. Some might question it’s durability, flex, and even safety. But at 17.5 oz per stick, and a 4.4 lb 4 pack weight, and with a 300 lb. weight rating the HyperLite climbing sticks immediately squelched any question.
“The fact is, is that the HyperLite series is made from MAGNITE – a material that is not just magnesium but a proprietary mix of other ingredients including nanoceramics, creating a matrix and end result that is 33% lighter than aluminum, 22%stronger, 110% harder, and even quieter since it does a better job of noise impending” said Trophyline marketing director Weston Schrank “if you tried to get this strength from carbon you’d be at least 50% heavier”. “Beyond” – in this case means not just the lightest, we didnt seek to just chase ounces, but offer the complete package, oz for oz, these offers are the lightest, strongest, most compact saddle hunting gear on the market…the weights impressive, but that is even more impressive” – Weston explained.
Facing a new metal, and an insanely compact design of 4 sticks at just over 3 inches (iPhone 13 width), mobile and saddle hunters reacted as expected. The HyperLite Climbing sticks took home 3rd place in the ATA new product showcase awards! The HyperLite platform is set to be offered as a standard 12 x12 inch platform size, based off of the popular EDP saddle platform Trophyline currently sells. While the EDP comes in at 3.7 lbs. The HyperLite platform should be coming in at 2 lbs. This makes a “standard” saddle hunting kit setup of 4 sticks and a platform at 6.5 lbs!
The HyperLite climbing sticks and platform will made available in the summer of 2024, no preorder is available but is set to be offered online and at Dealers this summer. The HyperLite climbing sticks will be offered at $449.99 for a 4 pack, and $299.99 for the platform.
