What is a Qalo Wedding Ring?
Qalo silicone rings are a replacement to the traditional metal ring, primarily for safety reasons. Many a finger has fallen victim to a metal ring that has become caught or crushed. These rings have morphed into quite the fashion statement as Qalo has developed an enormous variety of styles and colors to choose from. The rings fit true to size and are non-conductive and non-porous. They are also an excellent option for situations in which losing your irreplaceable rings is a risk. These rings retail for anywhere between $12 to $40. When I received the rings, I took a photo of each one before using them so that you could see the difference before and after use.
Qalo Ring Review Testing
I chose three ring designs and put each of them through a variety of different situations from rock climbing to dishwashing to butchering game. They went for a 50-mile bike ride, 20-mile hikes, swimming, shooting and exploring. Along the way, I’ve received many compliments on their appearance. When I first received the rings, they arrived in neat little zippered carrying bags. I found them to be incredibly smart for situations where you remove a traditional ring and need a safe place to keep it.
Qalo Design and Comfort
Over the 4th of July, I sported the Women’s Red White and Blue Pinstripe Ring. It was a hit at parades and gatherings, making a stark patriotic point wherever I went. I loved the simplicity of the design and found it extremely comfortable to wear. Each model was so comfortable that at times, I could not tell that I was wearing a ring at all. I never had a problem with the ring falling off, yet it didn’t fit tightly either. I was impressed with the quality of the material, as well. The Comfort Fit design lived up to its name and proved to be everything that Qalo said it was.
Qalo Strata Metallic Designs
In addition to the Red, White, and Blue Pinstripe, the other rings I chose were a mock metal color. The first was the Women’s Rose Gold and Black Filigree Love Strata Ring. It consists of two contrasting layers of silicone enabling them to put an engraving of sorts on the top layer. This creates a beautiful design that also received many compliments. Some people were shocked to find that it wasn’t metal as it has the realistic shimmer of a metal ring. The last ring I chose was the Women’s Silver and Black Strata Ring. I loved this ring, and it is the one I am currently wearing. It looks like a solid metal band that fits my style well as it is simple yet classy.
As I inspected each ring, I was suspicious that the Strata ring’s metal surface layer might crack or even peel. I took note and worked the rings around in my hands to see if I could get the material to break in some way. After months of use and even attempting to flake it with my fingernails, it had held up perfectly with not a single flaw.
Qalo Wedding Ring Drawbacks
The only downside I could attempt to point out with these rings lies only with the filigree ring. The ring with the beautiful cutout design naturally collects dirt, lotion, or anything gooey you might be working with. At first, I thought this might be a big problem, but as I used the ring, I realized that it did not collect as much as I thought it would. When it did get dirty, it was incredibly easy to clean as the ring is flexible and allows the dirt to be washed out easily. The only time it was annoying enough to warrant removing the ring was when applying lotion or sunscreen. I simply took it off while applying products.
Women’s Qalo Wedding Ring Review Summary
Overall, I was incredibly impressed with the Qalo rings as they were far more comfortable than I had initially thought they would be. It eliminated the worry of losing or damaging my ring or finger in different outdoor pursuits. I enjoyed being able to change the ring style to fit my daily environment. These rings are classy, practical, and comfortable. I will be sporting one for all of my future outdoor adventures and most of my routine days from here on out.
