Ground blind chairs aren’t cheap but they sure make the hunt more enjoyable. All-day sits are tough but a comfortable ground blind chair certainly helps. Prices have increased on ground blind chairs through the years as hunters demand a higher level of comfort. I recall plenty of hunts from a plastic lawn chair and I’ll never go back.
Finding a high-quality ground blind chair that won’t break the bank isn’t easy. However, Tidewe has a great seat for a decent price. Combine that with a Black Friday Sale or coupon code from HuntingGearDeals.com and you’ll have the best of both worlds.
When it comes to ground blinds, there are several different types but they start with the legs. There are 3-legged chairs and 4-legged chairs. When my ground blind is actually on the ground, I prefer a 3-legged chair. When I’m in an elevated ground blind that has a flat base, I prefer a 4-legged chair. This doesn’t mean you can use one for both applications as they will both get the job done. One benefit of 3-legged chairs is the reduced weight.

Assembly of the Tidewe 3-Legged Ground Blind Chair
Assembly is really simple and can be done in just a couple of minutes and there are no tools are required. The ground blind chair will arrive in two parts, the seat, and the legs. Each is connected with four bolts with oversized plastic heads and the base is threaded so there’s no need for tools. These bolts are more like screw-in knobs than ordinary bolts.
I found it quicker and easier to flip the chair seat down and place the base on top of it to install the four screw-in knobs instead of placing the seat right-side up and installing them from the bottom. This can be done in the field or at home, it really is that simple. Once the four baseplate screw-in knobs s are installed, you’re ready to go.

Adjustability of the Tidewe 3-Legged Ground Blind Chair
Each leg can be adjusted in height, which is great for uneven surfaces. Each leg base adjusts to fit flatly on the ground automatically, without any assistance. Adjusting the seat height is accomplished by a round knob underneath the seat. You’ll need to remove the knob completely and insert it into a pre-drilled hole on the stem of the seat.
The seat height is adjustable from 17.5 inches to 22.2 inches. The seat is 19.7″ wide, but there’s room to hang over the edges since it’s not equipped with armrests.
Unfortunately, the backrest is not adjustable. This may be the biggest downfall of the chair as I would prefer to be able to lean back a little bit more in the seat while hunting. It’s not a deal breaker and but it would be a nice feature to have.

Features: Tidewe 3 Legged Ground Blind Chair
The Tidewe three-legged hunting chair is loaded with features to ensure comfort during your next hunt. Let’s start from the ground and work our way up the chair. The base of each leg has a ball and socket design that allows the oversized baseplate for each leg to adjust to the proper angle. This ensures the legs are securely touching the ground and the oversized baseplates keep it from sinking into the soft dirt.
Next, is the adjustability of each leg. Legs can be shortened and lengthened with ease, the wider the legs, the more stable they become. The seat height is also adjustable, as low as 17.5″ and as high as 22.2″.
The seat is made from a mesh material that’s extremely comfortable. I’m not sure if this is a rip-stop mesh material but it certainly looks like it. The removable quilted liner is ideal for cold weather hunts but its a little bit noisier than the mesh seat. The liner is designed to keep your butt warmer. Mesh seats are perforated, so they let a lot of air through the seat and this will keep you much warmer during the hunt. The seat weighs 18.1 pounds, much lighter than the 4-legged chair, and carrying it would be a pain without the included shoulder strap.

PROS:
CONS:
Is the Tidewe 3 Legged Ground Blind Chair silent?
Unfortunately not. This chair is noisier than I would prefer. During a recent cold weather hunt, the seat creaked with every shift in weight as I repositioned myself. I attempted to sit still but it was unavoidable. As comfortable as I was, the noise pierced my ears and infuriated me during the hunt.
I plan on taking the chair apart and adding some plastic washers in the culprit areas and maybe a little bit of lubricant if needed. Unwanted noise is a big deal in the ground blind. No one wants to have your target buck in range, only to have your equipment make noise, alerting that big buck of your presence.
I’ll provide an update if I can identify the source of the noise(s) and if I can fix it.
Tidewe 3-Legged Ground Blind Chair Review Summary
The Tidewe 3-Legged Ground Blind Chair is extremely comfortable and it’s currently positioned in my favorite ground blind alongside the 4-Legged Tidewe Ground Blind Chair. The chair legs are fully-adjustable and I was comfortable enough to take a quick nap when the opportunity presents itself.
This ground blind chair is a big improvement over cheaper 3-legged models that I’ve owned in the past and it’s allowed me to be more comfortable during long sits. I actually prefer it over the 4-legged version simply for the lack of armrests. They’re both comfortable and equipped with the same features. For some reason, I’ve never been a fan of armrests while hunting. If I get too comfortable, I’ll go to sleep.
The only issue, and it’s a big issue, is the noise that this chair generates. I need to work the kinks out of the noise that it makes, but a little bit of finesse and I think I can quiet this chair down.
Moving around in the chair is where it really sets itself apart from other chairs in the past. Not only is it quiet, but it’s sturdy. The oversized feet on each leg keep it from sinking into the soft dirt and provides greater stability, reducing the likelihood of tipping over. The silent swivel seat gives me the confidence to make the move when a shot opportunity presents itself.
Would I buy another Tidewe 3-Legged Ground Blind Chair? Yes, but I’m going to be on the lookout for a coupon code or major sales event before making a purchase. Thankfully, Tidewe is aggressive with its pricing and HuntingGearDeals.com always has the latest scoop on upcoming sales and discounts.
